Sue Connolly
Benmorbry Welsh Springers
I had my first WSS in 1975 and he started my love of the breed. After joining training classes run by Eileen Falconer for the WSSC, I then competed in my first working test and joined the beating line on a shoot. Since then I have competed my Welsh in tests and been on numerous pheasant and partridge shoots throughout England and Wales as well as judging some working assessment tests. Whilst being Chairman of the WSSC Working Sub Committee, we ran training classes and I have continued to help run novice and introductory training sessions. I would like to thank the WSSC Working sub committee for giving me opportunity and invitation to be a co judge and am very much looking forward to the experience.
Louise Judge
Opalreef sussex spaniels
Thank you for inviting me to judge the upcoming working assessment test.
I’ve owned Sussex for 22 years, I have worked them all on pheasant shoots in the West Sussex Hampshire area. With one of my previous shoots beating line being only minor breed spaniels (Field, Clumber, Welsh springer and Sussex).
I’ve competed in working tests, assessment tests and field trials, with three of my sussex having achieved the RKC working gundog certificate on live game, and I hope my 5th sussex Kevin will gain this certificate this coming shooting season.
I have a good understanding of each breeds hunting style, and look forward to meeting you and your dogs on the day.
